Conceit

I am far from conceited, but I knows some people who are, and others who pretend they are not.  To them:

                                   Me, yech!
                                       It's wrong to please yourself
                                           with the image reflected in the mirror.
                                   Isn"t it?

                                   Beware
                                       of the man who says,
                                            "Why, I never thought of myself
                                    in that way."  LIKE HELL HE HASN;T!


                                   It is all too often
                                        one treads a swamp
                                             to pan for gold.
